Pastor R. C. White
Pastor White is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Southern University Laboratory School, where he graduated magna cum laude and accepted an academic scholarship to Southern University A&M College. Pastor White went on to graduate from Southern University magna cum laude and first of 330 graduates, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. He earned his master of business administration degree, as a graduate of high distinction, from Wayne State University and his juris doctor degree cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan. Pastor White is a licensed attorney, ordained minister and additionally has a diploma in Jewish-Christian Studies.

Pastor White has extensive legal experience in labor law as supervisor of labor relations for General Motors Cadillac Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan. He held several positions of increasing responsibility, including assignment to the GM Corporate National Labor Relations staff. After leaving GM, Pastor White worked at Dykema Gossett, one of Michigan’s largest law firms, which, at that time, was responsible for much of GM’s outside employment litigation. In 1993, Pastor White joined the law faculty of Southern University Law Center (SULC) in Baton Rouge Louisiana teaching legal ethics and the Law of Contracts, with a special interest in hermeneutical interpretation. In 2003, he was named Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Vice Chancellor in 2013. He was appointed Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs in 2016 and served in that role until his retirement in July 2019. He also served as a member of the Governing Council of the Louisiana State Law Institute from 1998 until his retirement in 2019. He is currently an adjunct professor of law at SULC and is a member of the Louisiana State Law Institute Corporations Committee, Michigan Bar Association, American Bar Association, the National Honor Society of Business Scholars, and the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools.
Pastor White has diverse writings; a law review article Pastor White wrote for the SULC Law Review, The Typical Cost Reimbursement Lawyer Employment Contract: A Conflict of Interest in General, A Prohibited Transaction Specifically and How to Protect the Rights of Clients, 30 S.U. L. Rev. 33 (2002), has been cited by American Jurisprudence in the legal encyclopedias Trials and Proof of Facts, as follows: 1 Am. Jur. Trials Interviewing the Client § 1; 1 Am. Jur. Trials Setting the Fee § 93; 31 Am. Jur. Trials Defending Lawyers in Disciplinary Proceedings § 633; 46 Am. Jur. Additionally, Pastor White has published a year long daily devotional. Pastor White is married to the former Ms. Lori Ann Folse and has two children, Roederick Jr., and Joseph.
